DWC

DWC or Deep Water Culture Hydroponics are systems that are supplied with an air pump and an air stone.

The Air Stone is submerged in the water and Air is pumped through it by the air pump which then oxygenates the water. This allows you to almost completely submerge your plant’s leading roots into the water, as the plant can then get the oxygen that it need to grow from the water rather than from outside.

This allows for a much longer period of growing before maintenance is needed, and in most cases if all other conditions are correct, and accelerated growth, due to the readily available oxygen that the plant has access to.
