Kilner Round 0.5 litre Clip Top Glass Storage Jar is one of the more popular sizes in the Round Clip Top Jar range. Its smaller size, makes it perfect for decanting produce that may be consumed slightly faster than others. Such as Jam, Chutney, or Fruit Jelly. Also a great size to gift your Preserves to friends or Family.
A perfect fit for the fridge, or Cold Storage, and the Kilner orange Seal will keep your produce Sealed for Long Term Storage items. A water bath can be used with the smaller Clip Top Jars, and the Orange Seal will sit tight against the Jar.
A good test to know if your Orange Seal is Sealed properly after Pasturisation, is to wait until the Jar is cool to the touch, and then undo the clip. The lid of the Jar should stay closed, and not Pop open as usual. Your Produce is now ready for Storage.
Care & Use
- Do not pour boiling water directly into Jars/ Bottles.
- Do not pour Cold water or Produce into Hot Jars/Bottles.
- Kilner Clip Top Jars are Dishwasher safe
